Reliable ALE Middleware for RFID Network Applications
نویسندگان
چکیده
Radio frequency identification (RFID), an identified object technology, utilizes air interface to deliver information required for object identification. The applicable technical information of RFID is convenient to manage and operate, and is widely promoted by the large-scale chain industry. Additionally, electronic product code (EPC) network technology enables immediate, automatic identification and sharing of information on items in the supply chain. This work presents an EPC Network backbone and an RFID service middleware with a high-reliable and highefficiency ALE-based (Application Level Event) prototype mechanism according to the EPCglobal. An SMR (Student Muster Roll) application testbed based on RFID system is implemented by the proposed ALEbased scheme. The SMR system is employed to manage the absent records of students for taking a subject, and can manage and control the operation multi-Reader devices simultaneously. The proposed system can filter attendance accurately, eliminating the possibility of reduplication in student records.

Security Enhanced RFID Middleware System
Recently, the RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) technology attracts the world market attention as essential technology for ubiquitous environment. The RFID market has focused on transponders and reader development. But that concern has shifted to RFID software like as high-valued e-business applications, RFID middleware and related development tools. However, due to the high sensitivity of ...
متن کاملLoad-balancing mechanism for the RFID middleware applications over grid networking
RFID middleware often has to process enormous amounts of data, possibly causes overloading and leading to data errors. Therefore, RFID middleware applications require load-balancing mechanisms. This work proposes a grid-based load-balancing mechanism for RFID middleware applications. The proposed mechanism incorporates functional modules Buffer Management and Load Balancing Management over a gr...
متن کاملImplementation of terminal middleware platform for mobile RFID computing
The typical Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) architecture, defined by EPCglobal, comprises RFID tags, which are embedded or attached to objects, an RFID reader and Information Services (ISs) server. The RFID reader can be stationary or mobile; the latter enables more applications. This paper describes the core components required for realising a mobile RFID application, such as mobile RFID...
متن کاملDistributed RFID Tag Storage Infrastructures
We leverage increasing passive RFID tag memory to propose distributed RFID tag storage infrastructures (D-RFID stores). A D-RFID store is a large set of tags with significantly sized re-writeable storage. Interrogators interact with D-RFID stores by reading from and writing to tags, providing a wide range of possible applications that are otherwise resource-inefficient. Examples include tagging...
متن کاملWinRFID – A Middleware for the enablement of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) based Applications
Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) middleware is a new class of software which facilitates data and information communication between automatic identification physical layer and enterprise applications. It provides a distributed environment to process the data from tags read by the readers, translates the data where necessary, and routes it to a variety of backend applications using suitable...
